Roles and Responsibilities
As an Associate Engineer I – Security Automation/SOAR, you will:
- Work with leading SOAR platforms such as Swimlane, Splunk SOAR, Cortex XSOAR, and more.
- Automate incident response activities by identifying repetitive manual SOC tasks.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and SOC teams to translate incident response scenarios into automated workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues, support health checks, and manage service requests.
- Build custom scripts and workflows using Python and other programming languages.
- Contribute to knowledge bases to improve team efficiency.
- Work on cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (B.E., B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, MCA).
- Experience or academic exposure to:
- Python, NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript
- MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- REST APIs, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Containers and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of algorithms, design patterns, and data structures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A background or interest in cybersecurity is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with SOAR tools like Swimlane, XSOAR, or Splunk SOAR is a bonus.
