About the Role
As a SOC Analyst within Lenovo’s Cyber Security Services, you will play a critical role in detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber incidents in real-time. The role demands expertise in cybersecurity tools and processes, along with the ability to assess potential risks, propose remediation, and contribute to overall IT threat management and defense.
The position requires 2–4 years of SOC experience, strong technical understanding, and proactive problem-solving skills to ensure effective security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
Key Responsibilities
As a Level 1 SOC Analyst, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring security logs and alerts from multiple platforms using SIEM and other tools.
- Performing triage on detected incidents, escalating critical ones to the next level of response.
- Investigating and reporting information security issues and emerging cyber threats.
- Tracking and following up on incidents submitted externally to the SOC.
- Analyzing logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and host-based security appliances to determine remediation actions.

- Preparing daily, monthly, and ad-hoc security reports to support customers and management.
- Proposing automation opportunities for recurring incidents and processes.
- Participating in patch management, configuration management, and change management activities.
- Supporting customer projects, internal initiatives, and transformation programs.
- Maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring timely issue resolution.
Required Skills & Competencies
- 2–4 years of SOC experience in cybersecurity operations.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, XDR, EDR, IDS/IPS.
- Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, malware analysis, and vulnerability management.
- Ability to analyze network, system, and firewall logs to detect threats.
- Experience in preparing dashboards and reports for internal and client use.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and security management standards.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal – for effective collaboration.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in global, cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CEH are highly desirable.
- Solid technical knowledge with the ability to independently implement changes and improvements.
- Basic understanding of Project Management and Customer/Vendor Management.
